Abstract

The branch of systems theory in the state space aimed at the theory of process state estimation modelling appeared to play a keyrole, and has given incentives to be explored in applications to a variety of environmental problems. This paper presents a simulation model for medium and longer-term dynamics of water level of Prespanean Lake from precipitation to evaporation in a hydrologic cycle. Based on the observation data, a system-theoretic state estimation method using theory of non-linear Kalrnan filters is developed and applied within the model.
