Abstract

The non-linear dielectric effect was investigated as a function of concentration in a ternary mixture with an immiscibility gap. The detected anomaly, in the vicinity of the ternary critical point, is reminiscent of that observed close to the critical consolute point of binary mixtures when the temperature approaches the critical point. The critical anomaly was analyzed in terms of the critical exponent.
