Abstract
Background and Aims: Dysbetalipoproteinemia (DBLP) is characterized by an accumulation in plasma of triglyceride (TG) rich lipoproteins resulting from the abnormal hepatic catabolism of very low-density lipoproteins (VLDL) and chylomicrons (QM) remnants. Non-HDL cholesterol/apolipoprotein B (apoB) ratio >1.43 (mg/dL) followed by APOE genotyping showed the best performance in the diagnosis of DBLP. AIM To analize the sensitivity and specificity of non-HDLc/apo B ratio in the diagnosis of DBLP in our population.
