Non-existence of positive solutions for a class of fourth order elliptic systems in positive-type domains

Abstract

In this work, we first establish the Pohozaev-type identity for the biharmonic equation. Using this identity, we prove that there are no positive solutions for a class of fourth order elliptic systems in positive domains. Our results extend some earlier non-existence results for star-shaped domains.
