Abstract

The non-adiabatic description of rotational motion in odd-mass nuclei is reviewed. The theory of renormalization of one-particle matrix elements due to residual interactions is given. Equations for calculating the effective (adiabatic) parameters of rotational states in odd-mass nuclei are developed. The analysis is given of a number of rotational bands in rare-earth nuclei.
