Abstract
This paper describes analytical and experimental studies of noise t ransmission through aircraft panels. The theoretical solutions of the governing acoustic-structu ral equations are developed util izing modal decomposition and a Gal erki n-type procedure. Single, discretely stiffened, and double wall panels are considered. Theoretical predictions are compared with experimental measurements and differences a re identified.
