Abstract

Wideband measurements of the propagation channel in land mobile and satellite mobile communication systems are presented. After a short description of the measurement system the details of the measurement plans are discussed. The analysis of the measured data is mainly focused on the RMS delay spread values calculated from the power delay spectrums (or so-called delay profile functions). The effect of the received noise level on the calculation of the RMS delay spread is investigated and characteristic diagrams are presented.
