Abstract

A known technical solution used in automobile manufacturing, which helps to partially improve sound insulation in the car interior by its sealing through modifying structural members, in particular, cavities of hollow reinforcement members of the body, is the so-called acoustic plugs sealing flow passages of these air ports formed by hollow reinforcement members of the body frame (sills, pillars, stiffeners). Ensuring high sealing and sound insulation of hollow cross-sections of box-shaped passages is related to reduced corrosion strength and durability of the car body during its operation. The article considers a technical solution of making drainage and overflow passages in the walls of hollow cross-sections of body sills and connecting a cylindrical pipe to the overflow port.
