Abstract

A noise analysis that is applicable to any space-time soliton propagation problem with perturbation by spatially uncorrelated white or nonwhite noise sources is developed. It leads to particularly simple expressions for the variation of the inner products of the pulse with the weighting functions. The method is used to evaluate the effect of filters on the Gordon-Haus effect of amplified soliton propagation. >
