Abstract

Measured neutron noise and thermocouple noise spectra from two commercial pressurized water reactors are presented. The noise spectra from both reactors show similar trends with core burnup, and the moderator temperature coefficient of reactivity can be predicted by calculating the frequency response function between the in-core neutron flux and the core-exit coolant temperature.
