Abstract

Summary This essay focuses on ethical considerations about suicide. Our work is based on Dietrich Bonhoeffer‘s idea that suicide is objectionable not for moral but religious reasons. This is because suicide would be a result disbelief in God as the donor of life. The essay argues that neglecting suicide due to moral reasons is indeed inappropriate while at the same time suicide is not automatically a negation of God.
