Abstract

Nocardia is a potential cause of opportunistic infection in organ-transplant recipients. We report an epidural abscess causing acute paraparesis in a patient with a rejected renal transplant and chronic liver disease. Early drainage and treatment with imipenem and trimethoprim-sulfamethoxasole improved the patient's neurologic status.
