Abstract
Eight weeks of treatment with extended‐release methylphenidate did not significantly improve symptoms of attention‐deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) relative to placebo in a group of young prison inmates, a new study has found. Participants receiving methylphenidate also did not experience significant improvement compared with placebo on secondary measures of psychopathology and emotional dysregulation.
