Abstract

In this article, using gravitational decoupling by means of the extended geometric deformation approach, we obtain a new hairy spherically symmetric and asymptotically flat charged black hole solution starting from the well known Reissner–Nordström manifold. The resulting spacetime, is characterized by a spacelike singularity at r=0, which is protected by an event horizon rH, where the original Cauchy horizon of the seed manifold is deleted, and no additional causal structure and physical singularities are introduced by the mechanism. To avoid this particular surface, the magnitude of the primary hair introduced by the scheme, is constrained in order to violate the strong energy condition in the black hole region r<rH.
