Abstract
The centrosymmetric title compound, C24H18N8, was prepared by reaction of 2-phenyl-1,2,3-triazole-4-carbaldehyde with 1,4-phenylenediamine. The dihedral angle between the outer phenyl ring and the triazole ring is 6.9 (3)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular aromatic π–π interactions between the parallel triazole and benzene rings [the centroid–centroid separation is 3.485 (2) A].
