Abstract

The behavior of hydrogen in vanadium hydride at high hydrogen concentration in the bct-lattice phase was studied by 1H NMR spectroscopy. Three kinds of hydrogen were observed in VH0.77, where some kinds of superstructures of hydrogen are formed. Their structures are proposed by analogy with the β1-V2H superstructure, and the occupation of the tetrahedral site is suggested. (AIP)
