Abstract

We have performed 47,49Ti and 139La NMR measurements to study electronic and magnetic properties of La 1− x Sr x TiO 3 which undergoes the Mott transition at x c ∼ 0.05 . The Ti nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate T 1−1 1 is found to almost obey the modified Korringa relation in the metallic state. The value of (T 1T) −1 enhances near x c as well as the Pauli susceptibility. The magnetic properties of the metallic state are described by the Fermi-liquid picture with the generalized susceptibility χ(q) having a maximum at q = 0 and the weak q dependence.
