Abstract

63 Cu NMR spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/ T 1 was measured in copper sulfide spinel compound Cu(Ir 0.95Rh 0.05) 2S 4. Above 200 K the Korringa relation 1/ T 1 T=0.68 s −1K −1 holds. Below 200 K, 1/ T 1 decreases drastically with decreasing temperature and the line width increases noticeably. These results correspond to the metal–insulator transition in this system reported at 200 K.
