Abstract

Abstract The calculation of longitudinal nuclear magnetic relaxation for an internally rotating methyl group attached to a symmetric top molecule has been extended taking into account the chemical exchange between two kinds of sites in the solution. The deviations from a simple exponantial decay depends strongly on the anisotropy of reorientations at two sites and the exchange rate.
