Abstract

AbstractKnight shift and linewidth of 31P and 195Pt and the electrical resistance as a function of temperature formeta stable crystalline Pt82 P18 and amorphous (Ni0.4 Pt0.6)80 P20 are measured. It seems that the 195Pt Knight shift is mainly determined by the content of P, indicating a filling of the d‐states of Pt. The 31P linewidth δ is frequency dependent in the case of the amorphous sample. The calculated linewidth is smaller by a factor of about four compared to the frequency independent part of δ, which may be due to the indirect dipole–dipole interaction.
