Abstract

The temperature dependence of the paramagnetic PMR-shifts of U(C 5H 5) 4 and (C 5H 5) 3UBH 4 has been studied between 165 and 428°K. Both for the ring protons of U(C 5H 5) 4 and for the borohydride protons of (C 5H 5) 3UBH 4 a remarkably large indirect electron spin transfer is indicated. The particularly large average spin transfer to the BH 4 group is best explained by the presence of more than only one U· · H· ·B bridging position.
