Abstract

NMR relaxation results are summarized for 18-crown-6 ether, for water (H172O and D2O) in dimethylsulfoxide, for tetrahydrofuran and for methyl iodide in the corresponding clathrate hydrates. Rotational diffusion coefficients are derived for the crown ether. Deuteron quadrupole-coupling constants are obtained for D2O in mixture with dimethylsulfoxide. High-pressure self-diffusion constants obtained by the NMR spin-echo method are presented for ethanol and 1-propanol. A QNS investigation of 18-crown-6 ether is conducted in order to supplement the NMR data.
