Nitrogen and selenium containing heterocycles: Part-1: Synthesis of some new substituted 3-(5-(2-oxopropylthio)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-2H-selenopyrano[2,3-b]quinolin-2-ones

Abstract

Abstract A series of 3-(5-mercapto-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-2H-selenopyrano[2,3-b]quinolin-2-ones (1a-f) were prepared from available protocol method. These on reacts with chloroacetone, in dimethylformamide as a solvent and anhydrous potassium carbonate base offered the title compunds 3-(5-(2-oxopropylthio)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-2H-selenopyrano[2,3-b]quinolin-2-one (2a-f) derivatives. The structures of all the newly synthesized products were confirmed with their elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectral analysis.
