Abstract

Forget Freddy Kruger, Jason, or even Hannibal Lecter. The scariest thing I have come across recently is the Bill, Scott and Bob (Muglia) triumvirate. Even as we worry about the increased impact of legal surveillance measures in the post-911 era, a most disturbing threat to our privacy has been released and, for once, not a single elected politician has been involved. I am, of course, speaking of Microsoft Windows XP and its Big Brother, .NET.
