Abstract
Let Open image in new window be a presentation of a group G. We obtain information about the Nielsen equivalence classes of Fn/R′ in terms of the group K1(ℤG) that arises in algebraic K-theory. We deduce some results about Nielsen equivalence classes and T-systems of polycyclic groups.
