Abstract

The magnetoresistance measurements of NiCu micro-wires with various widths fabricated on a LiNbO3 substrate were performed. An external magnetic field dependence of the magnetoresistances indicated that stripe domain structure can be also formed in the NiCu micro-wires. The competition of shape anisotropy and magnetic anisotropy induced by magnetoelastic effect enables us to control domain structure and magnetization reversal characteristics.
