Nickel(II) complexes with 4-aminobenzophenone

Abstract

The following nickel(II) complexes with 4-aminobenzophenone (L) have been prepared and investigated: NiBr 2L 0.67, Ni(NO 3) 2L, NiX 2L 2(X = Cl(H 2O), NO 3), NiCl 2L 3, NiX 2L 4(X = Br, I, BF 4, ClO 4(2H 2O)), NiX 2L 6(X = BF 4, NO 3) and Ni(ClO 4) 2L 8. In the NiCl 2L 2.H 2O, Ni(NO 3) 2L, Ni(NO 3) 2L 2 and Ni(NO 3) 2L 6 complexes the ligand is H 2N-coordinated. In the other complexes the coordination occurs through the carbonylic oxygen atom. Some νNiX(X = Cl, Br, I, ONO 2) and νNiN bands and the νNiOH 2 band of the NiCl 2L 2.H 2O complex were assigned.
