Abstract
The effect of the addition of Na 2O, CaO and ZrO 2 on the properties of NiZn ferrite, manufactured by the classical method, was studied. Because the porosity, resistivity, permeability and saturation magnetisation are affected, it is possible to select the kind of additive needed to produce NiZn ferrites with electrical and magnetic properties suitable for magnetic heads.
