Nickel (II) coordination on cross-linked poly triazine-urea-sulfonamide grafted onto Mg-Al LDHs: As a green catalytic system for the synthesis of tetrazolo[1,5-a] pyrimidines

Abstract

In this study, the surface of Mg-Al LDHs was functionalized with cross-linked poly triazine-urea-sulfonamide (Poly TUSA) to synthesize a novel heterogeneous support (LDH@TUSA). Afterwards, nickel(II) chloride was added on the prepared support and, we used LDH@TUSA@Ni in order to construct tetrazolo[1,5-a] pyrimidines from the reaction of aldehydes, 2-aminotetrazole, and substituted acetophenones. The prepared green heterogeneous catalyst can be recycled and recovered six times without significant loss in the catalytic activity.
