Abstract
The structure of the title compound has been solved by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Nickel is present as the hexaaquanickel cation, [Ni(H 2 O) 6 ] 2+ , which is balanced in charge by discrete trigonal pyramidal [SnF 3 ] - complex anions in a 1:2 ratio. The non-bonding electron pairs on tin are stereochemically active
