NICE guidance on spondyloarthritis: diagnosis and management – improving recognition and referral by physiotherapists

Abstract

Purpose: Physiotherapists are key to earlier diagnosis of people with spondyloarthritis and have an essential role in screening for these inflammatory conditions, which include axial spondyloarthritis (AxSpA)/ankylosing spondylitis (AS), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), reactive arthritis (ReA), enteropathic SpA (associated with inflammatory bowel disease), and undifferentiated SpA.
