Abstract

An up-to-date and detailed analysis of the changes which have taken place in the Nicaraguan economy since the revolution. The article discusses the main tensions and contradictions that have marked the Sandinista strategy of national unity and a mixed economy in the context of the build-up of counter-revolutionary attacks and increasing economic difficulties.
