Abstract

The development of highly active and stable catalysts is desirable for hydrogen generation from ammonia borane (AB). In this study, Ni0.25Co0.75O nanowire array supported on Cu@CuO foam (Ni0.25Co0.75O/Cu@CuO) has been successfully fabricated. The Ni0.25Co0.75O/Cu@CuO catalyst exhibited high performance towards AB hydrolysis with a high hydrogen generation rate (HGR) of 4.348 Lhydrogen min−1 gcat.−1. More importantly, the activity of Ni0.25Co0.75O/Cu@CuO has only decreased slightly after twelve cycles. This work provides a simple method to fabricate an inexpensive film catalyst with high activity and good stability for ammonia borane hydrolysis.
