Abstract

The paper provides a method for building a dynamic model and investigates a motion of the amphibious vehicle in the transition period. The research is conducted from the time that vehicle starts come into contact with the water environment until the wheels of front axle separated from the ramp angle (slope), in conditions of the ramp angle of less than 15 degrees and the vehicle’s velocity of not more than 20 km/h. The result allows to determine the maximum distance moving on the ramp angle that vehicle can perform to ensure not submerged conditions, then the limited load can be determined.
