Abstract

AbstractBlend of polypropylene and nitril rubber was conducted via dynamic vulcanization in Brabender Plasticoder. MA‐g‐PP was used as coupling agent in this blend. The optimum of blending process was investgated using Design Expert software with three factor PP/NBR ratio, MA‐g‐PP concentration, mixing time and two levels 23 to evaluate the effects of these factors on the the tensile strength of blend. Analysis of variance ANOVA was showed the interaction of these factors. The recurrence equation was as following: TS = 8.6‐1.29A + 0.72C + 0.74D + 0.35 AC. According to the recurrence equation, the PP/NBR ratio had the showed the greatest influence on the tensile strength of blend.
