Abstract

OZET Amac: Bu calismanin amaci bakim gereksinimi olan bireylere informal bakim verenlerin, bakim yukune iliskin hemsirelerin goruslerini belirlemektir. Yontem: Tanimlayici nitelikteki bu calisma Duzce Ataturk Devlet Hastanesi ve Universite Hastanesi’nde calisan (n=532) arastirmaya katilmayi kabul eden 469 hemsire ile gerceklestirilmistir. Katilimcilara 21 sorudan olusan soru formu uygulanmistir. Verilerin degerlendirilmesinde sayi, yuzde ve niteliksel dagilimlar arasindaki farkin onemliligi icin ki-kare testi, fisher exact testi kullanilmistir. Bulgular: Arastirmaya katilan hemsirelerin cogunlugu genc ve orta yas grubundadir (19-40 yas, % 90.8) ve meslekte calisma yili en fazla 1-7 yilda (%41.4) yogunlasmaktadir. %57.4’unun lisans mezunu, %35.0’inin dâhili, %36.9’unun cerrahi tip bilimlerinde calistiklari, %57.4’unun bakim yuku konulu herhangi bir egitime katilmadigi, %17.9’unun ise aileden birine uzun sureli bakim veren hemsireler oldugu belirlenmistir. Calismaya katilan hemsirelerin %94.9’unun informal bakim verenlerin gucluk yasadiklarini, yasanan gucluklerin ise bakim verenin kisisel ozellikleri, bakim verme suresi ve cok boyutlu bakim vermek zorunda olmasi gibi faktorlerinin etkili oldugunu belirtmislerdir. Arastirmaya katilan hemsirelerin %81.2 'sinin informal bakim verenlerin bilgi eksikligi, fiziksel ve psikolojik sagliklari yonunden ele alinmalari ayrica maruz kaldiklari bakim yukunun hafifletilmesi konusunda hemsirelerin rol almalari gerektigini onerdikleri saptanmistir. Sonuc: Bu calismada, hemsirelerin genelde informal bakim verenlerin bakim yukune dair bilgilerinin oldugu belirlenmistir. Hemsirelere gore; Informal bakim verenlerin, egitim ihtiyaclarini karsilanip, psikolojik, fiziksel ve sosyal olarak desteklendiginde bakim yukunun hafifleyecegi bunun sonucu olarak hastaneye tekrar yatislarin azalacagi sonucuna ulasilmistir. ABSTRACT The Views of Nurses About The Care Burden of Informal Caregivers Aim: The aime of this study is to determine the views of the nurses regarding the problems of informal caregivers of individuals with care needs. Method: This descriptive study was conducted in Atatutk State Hospital and University Hospital of Duzce (n=532) with 469 nurses who agreed to participate in the survey. A questionnaire consisting of 21 questions was applied to the participants. Assessment of data, Chi-square test, Fisher’s exact tests were used for the significance of difference among number, percentage and qualitative distribution. Results: The majority of the nurses participating in the survey are young and middle age group (19-40 years, 90.8%). whose professional working years are mostly concentrated in 1-7 years (41.4%). 57.4% of them were undergraduates, 35.0% were working in internal medical fields and 36.9% were working in surgical medical sciences, 57.4% did not participate in any training on care load, and 17.9% of the nurses gave long-term care to from one family member. 94.9% of the nurses who participated in the study stated that the informal caregivers experienced difficulties and that the difficulties experienced were influenced by factors such as the personal characteristics of the caregiver, the length of care and the need to provide multidimensional care. It was determined that 81.2% of the nurses who participated in the research proposed the participation of nurses in order to decrease the care burden of informal caregivers, evaluation of lack of information, physical, social, and psychological evaluation. Conclusion: In this study, It was determined that nurses generally had the information on the care burden of informal caregivers. According to nurses; if caregivers needs were met and they were assisted psychologically, physically and socially, the care burden would reduce and the re-hospitalization could reduce.
