Abstract

Nurse executives are not immune from the toxicity of “high-risk,” health care environments.1 The frequency and duration of emotional, physical, and psychological taxation, places nurse leaders at greater risk for stress, burnout, moral injury and mental health issues, than experienced by their staff.2
