Abstract

Birds of a feather: emergency nurse Michelle Young and Claudine Roche are entering the Flora London Marathon this month dressed in costumes inspired by the cartoon character, Road Runner. They will be running for the charity, Sense, which supports people with deafblindness, a combination of both sight and hearing difficulties. Ms Roche, who works with Ms Young in the A&E department at St Thomas' Hospital, London, says: 'I want to run for Sense because I was lucky enough to be born with my five senses and take it for granted. I want to raise cash for people who don't have that privilege.' To find out more about sponsoring Ms Roche and Ms Young, log on to www.justgiving.com/roadrunner-claude.
