Abstract

Membership in The Academy of Neonatal Nursing has been gradually increasing to the current level of 7,078 members. The National Advanced Practice Neonatal Nurses Conference, sponsored by the Academy, which took place April 16–18, 2004, in St. Louis, was very well received. Some of the speakers who the attendees really enjoyed were Dr. Sherry Courtney, who spoke on various respiratory issues; Dr. Luciana Young, who spoke on cardiac topics; Dr. Susan Abdel-Rahman, who spoke on developmental pharmacokinetics; and Jeanne Giebe, MSN, NNP who spoke on DIC. There were many other great speakers at the conference, including: Dr. Martin Keszler, Dr. F. Sessions Cole, Dr. Brian Ohning, and Dr. Carol Trotter. A copy of the program for this conference can be found in the November/December 2003 issue of Neonatal Network.®
