Abstract

HPV is highly prevalent in reproductive age group and pregnancy and is of public health interest because of itsunequivocal linkage to lower genital tract infections. Treatment of HPV infection and lesions caused by theseinfections has to be taken care after delivery also as these are involved in disease progression and carcinomas. Thesafety of available therapies and the risk of vertical and horizontal transmission and the risk of JORRP in neonatemust also betaken into account. Also, the concerns and correct timing for vaccination must be looked into.
