Abstract
SUMMARY A vaccine prepared from the V4 strain of Newcastle disease virus was tested under field conditions in village flocks in Africa. An epizootic of Newcastle disease occurred during the trial in one of the villages and killed unvaccinated, but not vaccinated, chickens.
