Abstract

AbstractThe work aims to understand if the application of new flexible ways of working (such as smart working) entered into force during the COVID-19 pandemic have positively contributed/contributes to the work/life balance of women in their role of entrepreneurs, employees, and professionals. The study traces a first picture of a relatively new phenomenon by analyzing and comparing the perspectives and experiences of a pivotal group of key interlocutors, in order to develop hypotheses to be tested in future research steps. The work contributes to deepen the work/life balance issues in the light of the Covid emergency and suggests insights useful to critically evaluate the effectiveness of the new flexible tools in a crisis working context.KeywordsAgile workingSmart workingWork–life balanceWomenCOVID-19 pandemic
