Abstract

The article provides a classification of vibration damping devices used in the processing of parts on metal-cutting machines. The structural scheme of an adaptive vibrating panel is considered and new designs of adaptive and adjustable spring-hydraulic vibration dampers designed for installation on turnings cutters are desceribed. A new type of vibration dampers with permanent magnets instead of springs and with a programmable frequency of natural oscillations, oriented to use in CNC machines, is proposed. Prospects for further improvement of vibration damping devices during machine operation are outlined.
