Abstract

The method offered in ref. 3) of obtaining the S-matrix from a known two-particle matrix element of an arbitrary local operator is analyzed in detail for the relativistic case. It is shown that the direct application of the technique of ref. 3) makes it possible to obtain all scattering phases, except one, e.g. the s-phase. This method is elaborated so as to make possible the calculation of the s-phase up to a numerical factor.
