Abstract
AbstractA new type of iridium(III) complex [trans‐Ir(ppy)2(PPh3)2]+ (1) has been prepared by a novel synthetic method and its structural and photoluminescent characteristics have been compared with those of the cis analogue, [cis‐Ir(ppy)2(PPh3)(P(OPh)3)]+ (2) which has also been newly prepared in this study.
