Abstract

SummaryA new type of multi-polar stimulating and recording electrode was developed to answer certain technical difficulties arising through use of standard type electrodes. This relatively low impedance electrode was constructed by using silver “printed circuit’ paint over coats of insulating material without greatly increasing the diameter of the electrode core. Both acute and chronic bioelectric experiments were carried out employing the above electrodes giving good amplitude, stable electroencephalographic and oscillographic records from the central nervous system.
