Abstract

This work deals with a modified formulation of the Radon transform for the evaluation of refractive index profiles in inhomogeneous media by using data obtained with deflection tomography techniques. The theoretical results are supported by numerical simulations and analysis of the noise propagation is presented. Under this formulation we will show that good reconstructions of index profiles are achieved by using a small number of projections, with a subsequent fast data processing.
