Abstract

Two new higher order transverse shear deformation theories (NHSDTs) with five variables have been proposed for the analysis of Functionally Graded Material (FGM) plate. A Governing differential equation (GDE) of the FGM plate is developed using energy principle. Wendland radial basic function (RBF) based Meshfree method is implemented for discretizing the GDE. A MATLAB code is developed to obtain the desired results. The normalized deflection and stresses are obtained and compared with other published results. The effect of different types of load, span to thickness ratio, grading index on the response is studied. Some new results for patch loading are also obtained.
