Abstract
In this study, three new taxa of Cosmarium (C. lineatum, C. margigranulatum, C. panamense var. therezienii) and one taxon of Euastrum (E. evolutum var. truncatum) have been described based on the analysis of periphytic material collected in the Capivara river basin, the north coast region from the Bahia State, Brazil. Taxonomic notes and ecological characteristics of the taxa are provided.
