Abstract
The need for the following new descriptions became clear during work on Euphorbia for the Flora of Tropical East Africa. The geographical subdivisions are those used for the Flora. Specimens are at Kew unless otherwise stated. My thanks are due to Christine Grey-Wilson for the illustrations; and also to the late Mr H. K. Airy Shaw for checking the Latin descriptions. Descriptions of new species with the co-authorship of Bally & S. Carter were made, at least in part, before Dr Bally's death in 1980.
